Melt blown filter cartridges are part of the range of depth filter cartridges. This range is nominally rated, with graded density and high porosity. Melt blown cartridges are manufactured from polypropylene or nylon microfibers which offer high throughputs, low pressure loss, high dirt capacity and a long onstream lifespan.
Mey’s MeltBlown series filter cartridges, made of pure polypropylene ultrafine fibers by hot melt entanglement, without the use of any chemical adhesive, the fibers randomly adhere in space to form a three-dimensional microporous structure, with gradually changing pore sizes for external sparsity and internal density.
The high strength and long service life of a depth filter cartridge can be advantageous over other surface filtration methods due to less frequent change-outs, improved quality, and reduced operational cost.
